Recruitment of skilled workers from non-EU countries in the care sector

For years, there have been unmistakable staff shortages in hospitals and care facilities, and these are becoming increasingly acute. In 2035, almost 1.8 million vacancies can no longer be filled due to a lack of qualified staff.

For various reasons, the demand for well-trained nursing staff in Germany cannot be fully met in the coming years, neither through qualification programmes nor through the immigration of European specialists. The recruitment of nursing staff from so-called third countries is therefore becoming increasingly important.

It is therefore all the more important that companies in the health and care sector are supported and accompanied in possible ways of recruiting skilled workers in third countries. This is why the Saxony-Anhalt WelcomeCentre is inviting companies to a workshop:
