Migration-sensitive counseling and support

Identifying the specific challenges that arise from the individual migration history of those seeking advice is often a difficult task. Migration-sensitive counseling means showing immigrants action-oriented ways into the Saxony-Anhalt labor market. When it comes to integrating into the labor market, migrants often face similar challenges that differ from those faced by German applicants (e.g., clarifying their residence status, possible experiences of discrimination, a different understanding of counseling, little knowledge of the German education system, etc.). Volunteers who advise immigrants on the process of labor market integration need appropriate migration-sensitive counseling skills in order to better offer their support.
