"Welcome Culture and Recruitment of Qualified Specialists” Network in Saxony-Anhalt

In Saxony-Anhalt there are many people involved in the integration of immigrants in to the employment market. The "Netzwerk Willkommenskultur und Fachkräftegewinnung” (“Welcome Culture and Recruitment of Qualified Specialists” Network) was established in 2014 in order to network with other committed people.

At network meetings held several times a year, participants receive up-to-date specialist information and can network with each other. It also facilitates access to the target group.

The members of the network are dedicated to strengthening the welcoming culture. They come from regional and municipal public authorities and labour administrations, as well as from centres for migration work and securing qualified specialists. These experts are available to assist with everything from recruiting international talent to clarifying residence status and utilising language support programmes. Anyone interested in contributing is warmly invited to join the network. Participation is voluntary and open to anyone who wishes to get involved.

Once a year, the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt organises the event format "Finden und Binden von ausländischen Fachkräften" ("Finding and retaining foreign qualified specialists") in cooperation with the Netzwerk “Willkommenskultur und Fachkräftegewinnung”, which is aimed at companies in Saxony-Anhalt. The events take place at various locations in Saxony-Anhalt to present success stories from the region. At the same time, companies can exchange information with the responsible experts on site and discuss their questions directly.

The WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt is also actively represented in the network's steering group by:
