The WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt invites you to an online seminar titled “Dealing with Prejudice and Everyday Racism” on October 1, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. as part of Intercultural Week. Communication and diversity trainer Gabriele Maria Gerlach will lead the event.

Where does everyday racism begin, and how can prejudices be broken down? How can, on the one hand, the workforce be sensitized to the importance of intercultural integration, and on the other hand, how can one deal with customers who would refuse to allow employees from other countries of origin into their premises—for example, at small businesses?

In addition to explaining everyday racism and the origins of prejudice, this online seminar focuses primarily on practical applications. Participants will be provided with communication methods for dealing with prejudice. Furthermore, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and, if applicable, present specific case studies that can be discussed and evaluated together.

The target audience for this online seminar includes full-time and volunteer staff who support and advise immigrants in Saxony-Anhalt and who, as part of their work, are involved in placing them in companies.

Click here to register for the event. You will receive the participation link shortly before the seminar. The registration deadline is September 25, 2024. The event is free of charge.
