Review: Workshop on the recruitment of foreign skilled labour

On 26 October 2020, the WelcomeCenter Saxony-Anhalt was invited to hold a workshop on the topic of "Recruiting foreign skilled workers" at the Germany-wide meeting of the Limbach Group's HR officers in Dessau-Roßlau. The workshop focussed on the following questions: How do skilled workers find their way to Germany? What needs to be done for successful integration? What experiences have those present had to date with recruiting foreign skilled workers? Particularly relevant topics were the social integration of new arrivals into the local staff structure, the different ways of dealing with the authorities and how to deal with private recruitment services.

It became clear that individual locations are already very active in recruiting foreign skilled workers, while the event provided others with incentives and support to also embark on this path.
