Guidance Based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is applied in all state-sponsored language programs. Learners’ language proficiency is assessed through a test. Language proficiency is therefore described according to the proficiency levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Anyone who wants to determine their language proficiency level can also do so with a self-assessment test, such as the one offered online by the Goethe-Institut.
