Safe countries of origin
According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior (under “Safe Countries of Origin”), safe countries of origin are countries where, based on their democratic system and the general political situation, it can be demonstrated that there is generally no risk of state persecution and that the country in question is generally able to protect its citizens from non-state persecution.
