Meister (master craftsman/woman)
The master craftsman qualification describes a further training qualification in certain occupational branches of the skilled crafts sector. The title of master craftsman entitles the holder to run their own business and to train apprentices in the regulated trades.
In addition to the master craftsman [Handwerksmeister qualification], there is also the industrial master craftsman [Industriemeister qualification]. This is a qualified industrial-technical manager.
