Geneva Convention on Refugees
The Geneva Convention on Refugees (“Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees”) is a treaty between 143 member states of the United Nations. All states that have signed the Convention are committed to protecting refugees. The Convention defines who qualifies as a refugee and what rights and obligations such individuals have.
