In its brief analysis “Refugee Women in Germany: Language, Education, and the Labor Market” (2017), the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees points out that refugee women face multiple disadvantages in the labor market. These include, on average, lower levels of education and professional experience, limited participation in language learning, and family obligations.

As part of the MUT project, “DaMigra—Umbrella Organization for Migrant Women’s* Organizations” published the brochure “My. Your. Our Rights. A Short Guide for Women* with Refugee Experience” on the rights of women with refugee backgrounds. Among other things, it provides information on the labor and custody rights of refugee women in Germany. The brochure is currently available in twelve languages, including English, Arabic, Romanian, and Russian.
