9th Federal Network Meeting of the Welcome Centres

The 9th Federal Network Meeting of the Welcome Centres took place on 15.06.2023. The Saxony-Anhalt Welcome Centre was also on site in Chemnitz to take part in the exchange of expertise. A total of 150 people from over 50 Welcome Centres took part in the event organised by ZEFAS - Zentrum für Fachkräftesicherung und Gute Arbeit.

Kerstin Mogdans, Coordinator Welcome Centre Saxony-Anhalt, found the exchange with the other Welcome Centres from different regions very interesting and was particularly pleased about the many inputs and the exciting exchange. She was able to compare the status of the other contact points and where the Saxony-Anhalt Welcome Centre stands in comparison. She will incorporate the new ideas into her day-to-day work.

A major task for all contact points in the integration process has turned out to be sensitising companies to the issue of foreign skilled workers. Above all, the welcoming culture in companies and the fact that diversity is accepted and lived are supra-regional concerns that should be focussed on.

The event was a complete success and will be repeated next year under the joint organisation of the Welcome Centers Kiel and Hamburg.
