For some vocational training courses, it is important to have your school-leaving certificate recognised. This is especially true for regulated professions such as geriatric nurse, roofer or pharmaceutical-technical assistant. In Saxony-Anhalt, the State Education Office of Saxony Anhalt is responsible for the recognition of school-leaving qualifications.
If the school-leaving certificate is not recognised by the State Education Office, school-leaving certificates can also be subsequently obtained at an evening college, adult education centres or other educational institutions. Good language skills are usually necessary to be able to follow the lessons.
